Gaza media death toll rises to 221

According to the Palestinian SAMA News Agency, this figure was announced after Mu’taz Mohammad Rajab, another Palestinian journalist, was martyred last night in an Israeli airstrike on Al-Nafaq Street in Gaza City.

In a statement, the Palestinian institution condemned the targeted actions of the occupying regime aimed at the systematic killing and assassination of Palestinian journalists.

The media office of the Palestinian Authority called on international organizations, such as the International Federation of Journalists, the Arab Journalists Union, and other media organizations worldwide, to take a stand against these repeated and orchestrated crimes against journalists in the Gaza Strip.

The statement noted that the United States and certain Western countries, including the United Kingdom, Germany, and France, which are directly or indirectly complicit in the genocide, are held responsible alongside the occupying regime for these brutal crimes.

The institution demanded the legal prosecution of the Zionist regime in international courts and called for effective pressure from the global community to immediately halt these repeated crimes, protect journalists, and prevent the ongoing assassination and killing of media activists in Gaza.
