Osama Hamdan: Ceasefire will not halt Palestinian resistance

The Palestinian resistance, after decades of standing against the Zionist regime's occupation, has demonstrated remarkable steadfastness in pursuing its goals over the past 19 months.

In this regard, Osama Hamdan, a senior Hamas official, in an interview with Mizan about the state of Palestinian resistance after 19 months of the Zionist regime’s genocidal war on Gaza, stressed: “I believe the resistance will continue.”

Hamdan noted that the resistance has persisted for over 70 years, adding: “The resistance has currently secured significant gains from the occupiers.”

He further stated that while a ceasefire agreement may be reached, it will not halt the resistance or the Palestinian people’s pursuit of their goals.

The senior Hamas official also pointed out that the international community is coming to the realization that action must be taken to end the occupation, saying: “As long as the occupation continues, there will be no stability in the region.”

Regarding the prospects of ending the Gaza war, Hamdan said: “No one knows, but we are striving, God willing, for it to happen soon.”
