Haaretz exposes major lie by Israeli Army

The Haaretz newspaper reported that the Israeli army’s claim of a Hamas tunnel under the European Gaza Hospital is riddled with significant contradictions.

Israeli media reported on Tuesday evening, May 13, 2025, a series of intense airstrikes by the regime targeting the European Gaza Hospital and its surroundings in Khan Younis, aimed at assassinating Mohammad al-Sinwar, a senior Hamas commander.

The occupying army claimed that a Hamas headquarters was located in the hospital. However, Haaretz, in a report by Bar Peleg, has refuted this claim.

The Israeli army claimed that during the attack on the European Gaza Hospital in Khan Younis, it discovered a tunnel belonging to Hamas. To support this claim, the army released an image purportedly showing the tunnel’s entrance. However, Haaretz’s investigation revealed that the image actually depicts a location at the Jenin School, near the hospital, and not the hospital itself.

Based on Haaretz’s analysis of aerial imagery, it was determined that the Israeli Air Force directly bombed the hospital, creating at least six large craters in its premises. Haaretz wrote, “Nevertheless, the army made its claim without providing convincing evidence of a tunnel beneath the hospital.”

According to the newspaper, these contradictions in the Israeli army’s official narrative highlight clear confusion and revive earlier criticisms by international media regarding the lack of definitive evidence for the presence of Hamas military infrastructure in Gaza’s hospitals.

It is worth noting that Haaretz’s report was removed from the newspaper’s website hours after its publication.
