America seeks to destroy Lebanon

In an interview with Mizan, Nasser Ghandil stated: "The United States and the Zionist regime are pursuing two scenarios in Lebanon. In the first scenario, the U.S. and the occupying regime of Jerusalem aim to destroy Lebanon like Gaza, turning it into a crisis-ridden and permanently uninhabitable country. In the second scenario, the U.S. and the Zionist regime intend to design and implement a scenario in Lebanon similar to what happened in Syria—establishing a government without a real army capable of protecting the country. The first project would lead to displacement, permanent occupation, and war in Lebanon, while the second scenario means the perpetual weakening of Lebanon."

The editor-in-chief of Al-Binaa newspaper added: "Some individuals are trying to portray the Syrian model as a desirable one within Lebanon, albeit for their own interests. They have failed to recognize the fundamental differences between the structural developments and the unique territorial characteristics of Syria and Lebanon."
