Americans are increasingly dissatisfied with Elon Musk's performance

According to Politico, Musk is seeking to reduce federal government spending, but the poll shows that his performance is being opposed by 57 percent of Americans. The results of a joint Washington Post-ABC News poll show that only 35 percent of Americans approve of Elon Musk's efficient management of the Department of State.
The poll shows that Americans are increasingly angry with Musk's performance in the Donald Trump administration, which claims to fight corruption, waste and abuse of the federal government by reducing government spending.
Last February, 49 percent of Americans were dissatisfied with Musk's performance, and the new poll shows that there has been little change in the views of those who approve of Musk's performance.
White House spokeswoman Anna Kelly defended Musk in a statement, claiming that “Trump and his administration are acting on the American people’s mandate to cut waste and make federal agencies more efficient, including by laying off non-mission-critical employees.”
The results reflect American sentiment toward the sweeping federal spending cuts that the Trump administration hopes to achieve, as Musk announced he would leave the Department of Efficiency to devote more time to his electric car company, Tesla, Politico wrote.
