Details of Hamas’s political plan for a sustainable ceasefire and prisoner exchange

A high-ranking Hamas official announced that the political plan proposed by the movement for establishing a sustainable ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and exchanging prisoners with the Zionist regime includes several key provisions.
In an interview with Al-Mayadeen network, he stated: “Based on this plan, a comprehensive agreement for the prisoner exchange is envisioned as a single package, encompassing the complete cessation of hostilities, the full withdrawal of occupying forces from all parts of the Gaza Strip, the start of the region’s reconstruction process, and the lifting of the imposed blockade.”
The Hamas official added: “Hamas’s plan also proposes the formation of a managerial committee composed of independent and technocratic figures to administer Gaza’s affairs. Hamas has also emphasized its readiness to participate in a national agreement process, based on previous agreements among Palestinian factions, particularly the Beijing Agreement.”
Referring to Hamas’s willingness to accept a five-year ceasefire with regional and international guarantees, he stressed that the implementation of this agreement would begin immediately after establishing a clear framework. Under this agreement, Zionist forces would return to their positions prior to March 2.
The Hamas official further noted that the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip would be conducted in accordance with humanitarian protocols, and, as proposed by Egypt, the administration of Gaza’s affairs would be entrusted to a “Social Support Committee.”
These statements come after Palestinian sources previously reported that Hamas had proposed a five-year ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
