Explanation of achievements from the Iranian High Judicial delegation’s participation in the 20th Meeting of Heads of Judicial Systems of SCO member states

According to the Judiciary’s Media Center, Mohseni Ejei, upon returning from his trip to China this morning, elaborated in an interview on the achievements of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s high judicial delegation at the 20th Meeting of Heads of Judicial Systems of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states.
In his remarks, the Chief Justice stated: "Given the rapid advancements in modern technologies, the extensive global interconnections among countries, and the unilateralism of certain dictatorial and domineering states that attempt to impose their will and ideas on others, it is imperative for like-minded and mutually beneficial countries that advocate multilateralism to further develop and deepen their communications, relations, interactions, and cooperation."
Mohseni Ejei added: "Countries that aspire to establish justice, peace, and sustainable security globally must maximize their communications and cooperation, working together to counter the imposition of domineering states."
The Chief Justice of the Islamic Republic of Iran further noted: "It is evident that the stronger the ties between countries in various political, economic, security, and other domains, the greater the need to develop and deepen judicial cooperation and interactions."
Highlighting that the SCO is an international organization with significant geographical and demographic potential, Mohseni Ejei said: "During the 20th Meeting of Heads of Judicial Systems of SCO member states, various regional and international issues related to the judicial systems of member states were discussed. The meeting addressed certain legal gaps in judicial and legal matters, proposed suggestions to benefit member states further, and examined opportunities and challenges in the field of artificial intelligence, with members sharing their perspectives."
The Chief Justice noted that Iranian colleagues also participated in several specialized committee meetings on the sidelines of the summit.
Mohseni Ejei announced: "It was decided that the 21st Meeting of Heads of Judicial Systems of SCO member states will be held in Iran next year."
Referring to the warm reception from senior judicial authorities of SCO member states regarding hosting next year’s meeting in Iran, he said: "It was agreed that, to make optimal use of next year’s meeting, the host should begin identifying existing challenges and collecting and reviewing proposals and solutions to address them, so that member states can attend the meeting better prepared and focused on resolving priority issues."
Referring to his meetings with the President of China’s Supreme People’s Court and a senior member of the Central Committee and head of the Political and Legal Affairs Commission of the ruling party, Mohseni Ejei said: "These meetings involved productive discussions on judicial, intelligence, and security matters."
The Chief Justice added: "On the sidelines of the 20th Meeting, we held bilateral meetings with the highest judicial authorities of seven countries. These meetings facilitated valuable discussions on various legal and judicial topics, particularly challenges, issues, and legal gaps related to modern technologies, cyberspace, and artificial intelligence."
In conclusion, Mohseni Ejei expressed hope that the outcomes of Iran’s participation in the 20th Meeting would further advance the interests and objectives of the Islamic Republic of Iran and other like-minded countries.
