Details of the Judiciary Chief’s visit to China

Asghar Jahangir, the Judiciary spokesperson, stated regarding the details of the Judiciary Chief’s visit to China: "Today, the 20th Summit of the Chief Justices of the Supreme Courts of SCO member states begin in Hangzhou, China."
He added: "From Iran, the Judiciary Chief, as the highest judicial authority, along with deputies and the head of the Supreme Disciplinary Court for Judges, will participate in this summit."
The Judiciary spokesperson noted: "The Iranian delegation, led by the Judiciary Chief, is set to deliver speeches on legal and judicial matters and pursue issues of mutual interest. Among the most important topics the high-level delegation will address in this visit are ways to strengthen cooperation among member states in combating transnational crimes. Additionally, attention will be given to strategies for tackling environmental crimes at this summit."
Jahangir explained: "The discussion on developing a model for the application of artificial intelligence in legal matters to serve the public is another key topic that the high-level delegation will raise and discuss at the summit."
He further stated: "Other topics related to the role of the judiciary to be examined at the summit include preventing disputes and resolving conflicts, addressing environmental crimes, and fostering cooperation among governments to combat various forms of terrorism."
The Judiciary spokesperson elaborated: "The SCO focuses on five key pillars, the most important being mutual cooperation based on shared interests and a commitment to achieving collective security. The participating delegations at this summit, while respecting cultural diversity, strive to promote programs and strategies to enhance security, prosperity, peace, and regional stability."
According to the Judiciary’s Media Center, Mohseni Ejei, the Chief of the Judiciary, spoke this morning before departing for Hangzhou, China, to attend the 20th Summit of the Chief Justices of the Judicial Systems of SCO member states. He stated: "The 20th Summit of the Chief Justices of the Judicial Systems of SCO member states is being held in Hangzhou, China. We are participating in this summit with practical and specific proposals to advance judicial diplomacy and expand legal and judicial relations with SCO members, who are predominantly influential and impactful countries in the international system."
The Judiciary Chief emphasized: "SCO member states are distinguished globally in terms of geographical expanse and population. Therefore, expanding and strengthening legal and judicial cooperation and interactions among them, alongside enhancing joint efforts in economic, political, security, and defense domains, can have profound and significant impacts on regional and global dynamics."
He further asserted: "Judicial cooperation and assistance in civil and criminal matters, extradition of criminals, transfer of convicts, establishing joint mechanisms to combat organized crime and terrorism, advancing judicial diplomacy in addressing cybercrimes, and smartening judicial processes are among the most critical areas of judicial and legal convergence for SCO member states."
The Judiciary Chief added: "The cooperation and relations of the Islamic Republic of Iran with SCO members, particularly Russia and China, are expanding. Accordingly, we will strive to achieve long-term judicial and legal convergence with these important and influential countries in the global arena, in parallel with the expansion of these relations and interactions."
