Horrifying confessions of Zionist soldiers: The destruction of everything in Gaza

While from the beginning of the Gaza war, Israeli army soldiers and officers have repeatedly confessed in numerous reports published by the regime’s media to deliberate and systematic crimes against the people of Gaza—and even taken pride in these crimes—a new report reveals that Israeli soldiers were ordered to destroy all signs of life in Gaza. Contrary to the occupying army’s claims that it targets Hamas infrastructure, the regime’s attacks are actually focused on ordinary people and civilian infrastructure.
In this regard, an Israeli organization called "Breaking the Silence" released an exposé report showing that the Israeli army, with the aim of creating a buffer zone free of Palestinians, has systematically implemented a plan to destroy vast areas in the Gaza Strip up to a depth of 1.5 kilometers.
This report is based on statements from soldiers and officers of the Israeli regime’s army who participated in ground operations in Gaza.
Destroy all signs of life in Gaza
Israeli army forces received explicit orders to kill anyone they encountered in the buffer zone, which extends between 800 meters and 1.5 kilometers into Gaza.
The Israeli army, which kept the implementation of this plan secret, has been working on completing this map since the first days of its ground invasion of Gaza to gain full control over the region.
However, the statements from Israeli army forces raise serious questions about the human and military consequences of this plan, as they indicate the destruction of infrastructure and all signs of civilian life in the Gaza Strip, while also putting the lives of Israeli hostages in the area at severe risk.
One senior Israeli officer made shocking confessions, saying: "The Israeli army forces are tasked with destroying everything in Gaza."
One soldier from an Israeli armored unit, who worked on reconnaissance missions near the buffer zone in Gaza, said: "If we sense any threat, we destroy it immediately."
He added: "All buildings overlooking the buffer zone created by the Israeli army are immediately demolished. A large bulldozer comes in and crushes everything in its path. The Israeli army instructed us to operate this way, which is utterly insane."
This Israeli soldier said: "What was instilled in us was this: 'There are no civilians in Gaza—everyone in Gaza is a terrorist, and there are no innocent people here.' This perception was enough to justify the mass killing of Gaza’s people for us."
The statements from Israeli army forces reveal that the Gaza Division prepared a color-coded map of various points in the buffer zone, which is periodically updated. These areas are marked in red, orange, yellow, and green, indicating that more than 80 percent of the buildings in that region have been leveled. This colorful map included residential buildings, greenhouses, warehouses, and factories that were destroyed.
Killing as a Source of Pride for Israeli Forces!
Another Israeli soldier said: "Destroying buildings became a competitive act among Israeli forces, with each commander wanting to demolish the most buildings and make the area under their control appear greener. In fact, this was a source of pride and honor."
Another Israeli soldier referred to one of the shocking crimes against Palestinian civilians in Gaza, saying: "I’ll never forget this scene. I remember once when a group of Gaza civilians, who were extremely hungry, ran toward us. They were holding bags containing grass they had collected to eat. Just having those bags in their hands was enough for us to justify calling them terrorists."
He continued: "So we shot at them because our approach is that there are no innocents in Gaza—everyone is a terrorist."
Israeli soldiers and officers also said that there are no rules or laws for dealing with civilians who hadn’t even left their homes or who had simply lost their way—everyone must be killed.
All People Are Condemned to Death
A reserve officer in an Israeli armored unit who spent hundreds of days in the Gaza Strip said: "There are no clear regulations for interacting with different groups of civilians. Anyone who moved had to be killed. In fact, according to the Israeli army’s orders, all our forces had to treat everything as a potential threat, whether it was people, buildings, infrastructure, or anything else—we had to destroy it all."
Another soldier said: "We drew a boundary line for our operational area, and anyone who crossed it was considered a suspect and had to be killed. But the thing is, Palestinians didn’t even know about this line or that it was our operational zone. So sometimes they accidentally entered the area and were condemned to death."
Israeli forces who were in Gaza since late 2023 said: "In the early stages, we used bulldozers and heavy mechanical excavators, along with thousands of mines and explosives, to destroy around 3,500 buildings, agricultural lands, and industrial sites so that they couldn’t be rebuilt after the war."
One Israeli reserve force soldier said: "We destroyed everything in Gaza, and it looked like Hiroshima. The destruction we caused in Gaza is unimaginable, as if we were in the middle of a movie. There’s really no way to justify these actions."
