Since the early hours of this morning, hundreds of Palestinians set out for the Qalandiya military crossing in northern Jerusalem and the 300 crossing between this holy city and Bethlehem to attend the last Friday prayers of the holy month of Ramadan at Al-Aqsa Mosque.
This is despite the fact that the two crossings witnessed a large presence of occupying forces in the area. The occupying forces prevented men under 55 years of age and women under 50 years of age from entering Jerusalem.
Nevertheless, thousands of Palestinians have been traveling to Jerusalem through the two crossings since this morning to attend Friday prayers on International Quds Day.
The occupying forces also imposed severe restrictions, inspecting people upon entering the Old City of Jerusalem and the gates of Al-Aqsa Mosque, and preventing a large number of Palestinians from entering Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The Israeli police announced in this regard that they have deployed thousands of their forces in and around Jerusalem.
The occupying forces also acknowledged conducting extensive inspections in Jerusalem, coinciding with the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan.
Since the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, the occupying forces have imposed severe restrictions on the entry of Palestinians from the West Bank into Jerusalem to attend Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The Israeli army also deployed a larger number of its forces at the border crossings between the West Bank and Jerusalem and, under the pretext of lack of special entry permits, prevented a large number of Palestinians from attending Friday prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque on Quds Day.
