Israel is deliberately depriving Gaza residents of water

Doctors Without Borders (MSF) announced in a statement today - Wednesday - that Israel is actually preventing access to water in the Gaza Strip by cutting off electricity and fuel.
The organization continued to call for agreement to send humanitarian aid to the Palestinians to save their lives.
Doctors Without Borders (MSF) quoted the organization's water and sanitation officer in Gaza as saying: With new attacks that have killed hundreds in a few days, Israeli forces continue to deprive Gaza residents of water by cutting off electricity and preventing the transfer of fuel.
The organization continued its statement: The suffering and problems of the Palestinians in Gaza are worsening due to the water crisis, many of them are forced to use unsafe water and others do not have access to water at all.
The head of the organization's medical team also said: The skin diseases that the children suffered from are a direct result of the devastation of Gaza and the siege imposed on it by Israel.
He added: Our forces are treating a large number of children who are suffering from these types of diseases, including scabies, which have severe complications. The reason for children contracting this disease is also their lack of access to a bathroom.
The organization continued its statement by reporting: Jaundice, diarrhea and scabies are the most common cases that our forces treated in Khan Yunis, and these diseases are caused by a lack of safe water supply.
Doctors Without Borders warned that the fuel shortage in the Gaza Strip could lead to the complete shutdown of the remaining part of the water system and the people's access to water.
The Israeli regime, as part of its severe blockade and the closure of crossings for humanitarian aid, relief supplies, medical aid and goods, has continued to prevent the transfer of fuel to Gaza since March 2.
The organization once again called on the Israeli regime to end its inhumane blockade of the Gaza Strip and to adhere to international humanitarian law and its obligations as the occupying power.
The organization also called for an immediate return to the ceasefire and agreement to transfer electricity and humanitarian aid to Gaza, including fuel and water.
On March 9, Israeli Energy Minister Eli Cohen decided to immediately cut off Gaza's electricity supply, which resulted in the cessation of 85 percent of water and sewage services in the area.
