Thousands of Israelis protest in Jerusalem against Netanyahu

The Israeli Army Radio reported that thousands of people demonstrated in front of Netanyahu's office to protest the dismissal of Ronen Bar, head of the Shin Bet (Israeli internal security service), and Jali Baharav Meara, judicial advisor, as well as to demand the release of Israeli prisoners in Gaza.
Some media outlets also reported, by publishing a video of the widespread presence of angry Israelis in the Jerusalem Metro Station, that the growing number of thousands of people are joining the protests against Netanyahu.
At the same time as the protests against Netanyahu intensified, Jali Baharav Meara also announced the boycott of the meeting regarding his dismissal, saying: The purpose of the proposal to dismiss me is to strengthen loyalty to the political leadership, the government wants to be above the law.
The crisis between the judicial advisor and Netanyahu's cabinet began months ago, with both sides accusing each other of obstructing the passage of laws and preventing the dismissal of the Shin Bet chief.
The opposition and analysts see Netanyahu's move to dismiss the cabinet's judicial advisor as part of his and the religious right's efforts to dominate the judiciary and institutions.
On the other hand, after the dismissal of Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar and the issuance of a temporary injunction by the Israeli Supreme Court to halt this decision, a large demonstration against the Israeli occupation regime's cabinet was held last night in Tel Aviv.
Yair Lapid, the leader of the opposition to the current Israeli cabinet, participated in the demonstration and strongly criticized the regime's cabinet and accused Netanyahu of seeking to start a civil war.
Lapid said during the demonstration: If the October 7th cabinet decides not to comply with the court's ruling, it will immediately turn itself into a criminal cabinet.
Earlier, Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar had announced to the regime's ministers that Netanyahu's decision to dismiss him was made with the aim of preventing an investigation into the October 7th events (Operation Al-Aqsa Storm).
Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar told the ministers: "You are unaware of many details due to the prime minister's orders."
Shin Bet chief emphasized: "The purpose of excluding me from the negotiating team was to conduct negotiations without reaching an agreement."
Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar emphasized: "The Shin Bet implements the policies determined by Israel's political leaders and will continue to do so." Shin Bet chief also said: "I personally managed the prisoner exchange agreement with the prime minister's approval."
