Trump's envoy to Hamas talks unexpectedly resigns

The media is reporting the resignation of Adam Boehler, the US special representative for prisoner issues, who had previously negotiated directly with Hamas.
Mizan -
Adam Boehler, who had previously negotiated directly with Hamas representatives in Doha, resigned from his position.
According to Yedioth Ahronoth, this action followed objections from the Israeli regime and some American officials to this action, as well as Boehler's statements, because he had praised Hamas members in an interview, for which he was later forced to apologize.
According to Axios, the Israeli regime had previously expressed concerns about the US negotiating directly with the Hamas movement. Boehler stated that despite understanding the Zionist concerns, the US "does not represent Israel."
According to a US government official, Boehler is to serve as the US president's representative in another position.
