Israel holds the record for the most murders and arrests of journalists in the world
The Center for the Protection of Palestinian Journalists announced in a statement that the Zionist regime ranks first in the world in the murders and arrests of journalists in recent conflicts.

According to the Palestinian news agency Sama, the Center for the Protection of Palestinian Journalists added in the statement: We condemn the arrest of Palestinian journalist Ahmed Al-Khatib in his home in Ramallah.
The statement continued: The targeting of Palestinian journalists by the Israeli regime indicates the continued imposition of restrictions on journalistic freedom.
The statement added: Following the arrest of Al-Khatib, the number of journalists arrested since October 2023 increased to more than 170 people.
The statement concluded: The Israeli regime uses arrest and deportation as a tool to hinder media coverage of its violations of its international commitments to protect journalists based on international human rights law.
