Massive demonstrations by supporters and opponents of Yoon in Seoul

The Korea Times reported that the massive demonstration on Sunday between those calling for Yoon’s immediate removal and those supporting the impeached South Korean president has inflamed the atmosphere.
A coalition of 1,700 progressive civil society groups calling for Yoon’s immediate removal held a press conference at noon local time outside Seoul’s Gyeongbokgung Palace, where they had earlier held a night-long protest.
The coalition declared a week-long “state of emergency” and vowed “all-out war” until Yoon was fully removed from office. The campaign began with a massive demonstration on Sunday afternoon local time, attended by about 100,000 protesters.
The coalition of civil society groups said: "The prosecutor who proved to be Yoon's subordinate released him. The joint effort between the court and the prosecutors has undermined the constitution and destroyed democracy. Let's gather in the square and dismiss Yoon's government as soon as possible."
South Korea's impeached president was released on Saturday shortly after Attorney General Shim Woo-jung accepted the court's order to release him.
Protesters said they would file a complaint against Attorney General Shim to the National Investigation Police Agency for abuse of power in releasing Yoon. From Sunday until the day of Yoon's removal, they plan to hold a mass rally in central Seoul at 7 p.m. every day.
Meanwhile, Yoon's supporters gathered in front of the presidential building in Hanam-dong, demanding the lifting of Yoon's impeachment status.
The Sarang-gil Church, led by conservative pastor Jeon Kwang-hoon, held a Sunday service near the presidential palace from 10:30 a.m. and waved Korean and American flags. Police estimated that about 4,500 people had attended the service by noon.
“Now that President Yoon has been released, the impeachment trial is meaningless. It’s over. If the Constitutional Court tries to do something wrong? In the name of the people’s right to resist, I will cut it down with a sword,” Jeon said.
A group of supporters of Yoon remained nearby and continued to rally after the service. With Yoon’s return, the Hanam-dong area, which had been the scene of numerous protests before his arrest, has seen increased security and surveillance again.
