12,316 Palestinian women were martyred in the Gaza war

"Salamah Ma'raf," head of the government information office in the Gaza Strip, announced that coinciding with International Women's Day, the crimes of the Zionist regime against Palestinian women during the Gaza war continue and the dimensions of this tragedy are expanding day by day.
According to a report by the Shehab News Agency, she presented shocking statistics about the consequences of the war on Palestinian women and called on the international community to be held accountable for these crimes.
According to the report, 12,316 Palestinian women have been martyred in the attacks of the Zionist regime forces on Gaza, many of whom died in deliberate and direct attacks.
Ma'raf said: Also, 13,901 women have become widows and their families have been left without guardians. In addition, 17,000 mothers have lost their children in this war.
He added that about 50,000 pregnant women have given birth in inhumane conditions and 162,000 women have contracted infectious diseases.
Maroof further announced: 2,000 women and girls have also suffered permanent disabilities as a result of amputations and will live with this condition for the rest of their lives.
According to Maroof, dozens of Palestinian women have also been detained by the occupying forces and tortured in Israeli prisons. This is while numerous reports have been published of inhumane treatment and mental and physical pressure against Palestinian women in detention centers.
Meanwhile, The Palestinian Prisoners and Released Persons Organization has exposed the organized crimes of the Israeli Prisoners Organization against Palestinian female prisoners.
The organization announced that the Zionist regime, after releasing some prisoners, is still holding 21 Palestinian women in custody and subjecting them to organized crimes in its prisons.
According to the Samaa News Agency, the organization announced: According to reports from legal institutions, since October 7, 2023, 490 Palestinian women have been arrested by the occupying forces of the Zionist regime, including teenage girls.
These arrests were carried out within the framework of the Zionist regime's repressive measures against the Palestinian people, and human rights organizations have repeatedly warned of violations of the rights of Palestinian prisoners, especially women and children.
