Trump is destroying the federal government

The structure-actor relationship in the United States has been complicated during the presence of various presidents in this country: in the sense that actors are usually not allowed to interfere with the structure and redefine it based on their interests. However, such a rule is not true, at least not in the case of the current US President Donald Trump!
The order that Trump recently issued in contrast to the current structure in the federal government, which is aimed at deforming this structure and replacing it with a new system, has caused great concern among his political opponents. Trump's executive order is in line with the Government Efficiency Office's initiative to "optimize the workforce" and only allows hiring for "essential areas."
Accordingly, Trump signed an executive order that directs the US Government Efficiency Office to coordinate with federal agencies and implement a massive reduction in the number of federal government employees.
This optimization is being done under the slogan of reducing the size and costs of the federal government, but in reality, it is an attempt to settle political scores with people who are employed in the heart of the federal government, especially in the middle and even lower management levels, and now, from the perspective of Trump and his entourage, their path to continuing their activities should be blocked.
The process of replacing these people has also been designed in such a way that pro-Trump Republicans are not only defined in the employment circuit of this structure until 2028 (the time of the upcoming presidential election), but also guarantees are provided regarding their continued survival in the federal government.
During the 2024 presidential election campaign, Trump had repeatedly spoken about the inefficiency of the federal government structure and even the Federal Police (FBI). Therefore, the issuance of such an order by the US President was completely predictable!
Meanwhile, superior institutions such as the US Constitutional Court are the only authorities that Democrats and even some Republican opponents of Trump (mostly from the traditional Republican Party) can hope to rely on to prevent the absolute realization of the goals of the new US President. However, the experience of Trump's first term in office and beyond, the weeks that have passed since the Trump team's presence in the White House show that he will never be willing to back down from reforms, but rather the structural destruction of the federal government. Accordingly, in addition to political conflicts, we will also witness the formation of structural, bureaucratic, and administrative conflicts in the United States.
