Head of the ICRC Delegation: The dimensions of the crisis in Gaza are severe

In response to the question about the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, Vincent Cassard, Head of the ICRC Delegation in Tehran, said: The Red Cross's capacity to meet the needs of Gaza is like a drop in an ocean.
Stating that the dimensions of the crisis in Gaza are severe and large, Cassard stated: The conditions in this region are very special; the ICRC has been present in Gaza from the beginning and has provided services such as water, shelter, economic services and food to the best of its ability.
The Head of the ICRC Delegation in Tehran stated: In addition to these, due to the lack of access to medical services, we set up a field hospital there, which in addition to providing emergency services, also supports the disabled.
According to Cassard, given the difficulty of transporting the disabled due to the lack of facilities, the reality is that the Red Cross's capacity is like a drop in the ocean compared to the needs.
The official of the International Committee of the Red Cross, pointing out that we have many restrictions on access and the level of violence in the region has been very high, but we are doing our best, emphasized: We are not alone on this path and the Palestine Red Crescent Society is cooperating with us as a committed and courageous institution and has lost many forces in this path.
The head of the International Committee of the Red Cross's representation in Tehran, stating that we are helping Gaza as much as we can, said: The reality is that the needs are much greater than our capacity, but we are trying there.
