Suspects in Tehran University Student Murder Arrested

Mohammad Shahriari, head of the Criminal Prosecution, announced the arrest of the perpetrators of the robbery and murder of Amir Mohammad Khaleghi, a student at Tehran University, last night.
Shahriari said: The suspects were arrested in a judicial and technical action and in the initial investigation they confessed to the robbery and murder of Amir Mohammad Khaleghi.
He continued: In the initial investigation, it was determined that the suspects committed the murder with the motive of robbery.
Shahriari stated: The main suspect who committed the murder and robbery (the motorcycle occupant) is identified as Ahmad and the motorcycle rider is identified as Amir.
The investigation is ongoing and more details will be announced.
Immediately after the arrest of the suspects, Mohammad Shahriari began investigating the two suspects by attending the location where they were being held.
During the initial investigation, both suspects explicitly confessed to the robbery that led to the murder of the Tehran University student and described the details of the scene.
The suspect in the murder of Amir Mohammad Khaleghi said in the initial interrogation session: "We identified the person in a secluded area and attempted to rob him. After taking the victim's phone and wallet, I hit him a couple of times and immediately got on the motorcycle and left."
He states that on Friday, he realized that he had caused such an incident.
In a live interview with News Network, Sardar Abbasali Mohammadian, while giving new details about the arrest of the perpetrators of the murder of a Tehran University student, stated: "Last night, two thieves who were present at the scene, along with their three accomplices who were buying and selling stolen items, were arrested."
Stating that the two main thieves confessed to the theft and how it was committed, he emphasized: "Releasing the full identities of the suspects must be with judicial permission and additional information will be announced after the reconstruction of the crime scene."
The Great Tehran Police Commander announced the discovery of the laptop of the late Amir Mohammad Khaleghi.
Sardar Mohammadian, indicating that the main motive for the murder was robbery, said: "We thank the entire judicial system for their full cooperation with the police during these days."
First confessions of suspects in Tehran University student murder
The person who killed Amir Mohammad Khaleghi said about the incident: When I took the phone, he said I was a university student. We said, "Give me your bag, take the phone and go," but he hit us. He said I had documents in my bag. Amir told me to stab him. We had no idea he was a university student. I hit him twice and returned to the scene.
Motorcyclist: We chose this place for the robbery because it was quiet. Ahmad pulled out a knife as soon as he reached the student and said he would hit him.
