The emergence of a secret government in America
The appointment of a person who has repeatedly challenged the current structure of the Federal Police and talked about limiting its powers and internal regulations will definitely generate crises in this security institution of the United States of America.
However, Trump has no qualms about implementing significant and structural changes to the FBI. At the same time, following Trump's failed assassination in Pennsylvania, senior Federal Police officials sent signals supporting Trump's victory over Democratic candidate Kamala Harris.
The Democratic Party's election campaign has repeatedly accused the FBI of favoring Republicans, but the FBI claimed that the reports published on the file of Trump's election speech in Pennsylvania were merely a description of the situation that had occurred and did not indicate a desire to support Republicans.
A controversial appointment
Kash Patel was announced by Donald Trump as the FBI's next director. During the previous Trump administration, Patel was the director of the Counterterrorism Office of the National Security Council. Kash Patel is one of the fiercest critics of the US Federal Police.
"Kash Patel is a lawyer who has dedicated his career to fighting corruption, defending justice, and protecting the American people," Trump wrote on his "Truth Social" social media account. However, Democrats and some traditional Republicans who are aware of the unique spirit of "Kash Patel" were not pleased with Trump's message!
More importantly, with the appointment of Patel, Christopher Wray, the current director of the US Federal Police (FBI), will now step down from his position ahead of schedule. Wray was supposed to remain in this position until at least 2027, but Trump had repeatedly criticized him severely!
In other words, Christopher Wray played a double game with his relative support for the Republicans and his organization: on the one hand, he helped swing independent voters in Trump’s favor with his targeted reporting, and on the other hand, he failed to reach an agreement with the new US president to remain at the head of the FBI.

What was Christopher Wray’s only crime?
During Christopher Wray’s presidency, the FBI conducted a court-approved search and seizure of Trump’s personal residence in Mar-a-Lago. This was the FBI director’s only crime (from the perspective of Trump and his associates). Although this matter did not lead to a final verdict from the court, it did not reduce Trump’s resentment towards Wray!
Patel, 44, was questioned in the Congressional Investigative Committee’s investigation into the attack on the US Capitol in January 2021. Patel had repeatedly defended the attackers.
The presence of such a person at the top of the FBI equations will generate changes in major decision-making and even the drawing of new structures in the United States. As mentioned, Patel has made news with his strong criticism of the FBI. He had repeatedly stated that the FBI's powers should be limited and that the agency's employees should act in accordance with Trump's policies. He also said that anyone who disobeys this order should be fired.
The FBI and the Secret Government's Conflict
An important point that should not be overlooked in this regard is the battle between the secret currents of power in America and the new FBI director. The secret government in America is very sensitive about maintaining the current structures in the federal police and will not easily accept structural and systematic changes in this supranational institution.
As a former Pentagon employee, Patel was initially considered for the position of director of the CIA after Trump won the presidential election. Meanwhile, most American media outlets also consider Patel's appointment controversial and crisis-provoking. Patel had previously announced that the Trump administration would prosecute journalists who supported Joe Biden's "election fraud."
Patel had also described Trump's trial as a "circus of fundamental legal violations." After being appointed by Trump, this hardline politician prefers not to repeat his past positions on the FBI, at least for now, but it is no secret that Patel will launch some of his crisis-making plans in this complex after officially taking office as the head of the federal police.
