Netanyahu seeks to sabotage prisoner swap deal with Hamas

According to the Zionist media outlet, the Israeli team present in Doha, the capital of Qatar, will not make any efforts to advance the second phase of the agreement, and Netanyahu has also announced that he does not want to implement this phase.
According to Haaretz sources, the Israeli Prime Minister has sent a delegation with limited powers and no decision-making ability to the negotiations.
Israeli sources told the newspaper that Netanyahu is concerned that the release of images of the Israeli prisoners from Gaza will damage his position in the polls; in particular, the armed presence of the Al-Qassam Brigades and the widespread organization of Palestinians during the prisoner transfer have increased his concerns.
According to Haaretz, the victory slogans broadcast by the Al-Qassam Brigades have made Netanyahu feel that he will lose political ground if he completes the swap deal.
The newspaper also added that Hamas may abandon its implementation if it realizes that Netanyahu is trying to sabotage the deal.
Meanwhile, Netanyahu and US President Donald Trump are still discussing a plan to completely expel Palestinians from the Gaza Strip, a plan that has faced widespread opposition from Arab and Islamic countries and the international community.
