American citizen killed by police 20 shots

A video has recently been released showing the moment Chicago police officers shot a man dead with multiple shots.
Chicago police said their officers were dispatched to the scene after receiving an emergency call from a woman.
Chicago police claimed that the man, identified as Timothy Glaze, walked towards the officers with a knife.
The victim's family has been demanding the release of body-worn camera footage of the officers at the scene for more than a month; they said they want to know why the police officers shot Timothy 20 times.
According to the released video, the officers encountered Glaze less than two minutes after arriving at the scene and reaching the sixth floor of an apartment building. They fired at least 20 shots at the victim.
The officers reportedly slapped Glaze after the shooting, while the victim was lying on the ground, instead of calling for medical assistance.
The woman who called police for help reportedly said she regretted calling the police.
"When you call the police, don't use the word knife. I don't want to call the police again in my life because it took his life," the woman said.
Glaze's family says that even if the victim had a knife in his hand, that wouldn't have justified firing 20 shots.
