Israeli withdrawal from the Netzarim axis

Al-Mayadeen’s correspondent in the Gaza Strip announced in a breaking news report that Israeli soldiers have withdrawn from the Netzarim axis and Palestinian refugees are crossing this axis to return from the south to the north of the Gaza Strip.
A few days ago, Israeli soldiers began leaving the Netzarim axis; the axis where the army was deployed to separate Gaza City and its north from the central and southern regions.
The Israeli army began withdrawing from the Netzarim axis early Monday after the regime reached an agreement with the Hamas movement to release six Israeli prisoners, including "Jewish Arbel," in exchange for allowing Palestinian refugees to return to the northern Gaza Strip.
As the Israeli army withdrew from the Netzarim axis, which it had occupied since the start of its ground invasion of the Gaza Strip on October 27, 2023, tens of thousands of Palestinian refugees moved toward the northern Gaza Strip via two main roads, one of which was Al-Rashid Road.
Meanwhile, thousands of other people moved from the southern Gaza Strip to the northern Gaza Strip via the Netzarim axis in their vehicles.
Hilal Rosen, a military correspondent for the Israeli Channel 14, said: "I can say that the soldiers who left the Netzarim axis left in tears and said that they felt that everything they had done in the Gaza Strip for more than a year was in vain."
He added: "If there were thousands of armed forces (Palestinian fighters) in the Beit Hanoun and Jabalia areas, now their number will reach more than 10,000, and if we return to war, fierce and heavy battles that we have never seen before await us."
Meanwhile, the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) considered the complete withdrawal of the Israeli occupation forces from the Netzarim axis as the completion of the defeat of the goals of the genocidal war against the Palestinian people and announced: The return of the refugees, the continuation of the prisoner exchange and the withdrawal from Netzarim refute the lie of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that a complete victory has been achieved.
The movement noted: The attempts of the occupiers to expand their control over the Gaza Strip and divide it failed in the face of the bravery of the resistance and steadfastness of the Palestinian people. Gaza will remain a land liberated by its people and fighters and will be forbidden to the occupying aggressors and any foreign force.
