Baghaei: We support the government approved by the Syrian people

In response to Mizan's question about forming a coalition to take legal, diplomatic and economic measures against the Zionist regime and Iran's role in this coalition, the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said: About 10 countries are participating in this initiative; the main goal of this initiative is to ensure that the Zionist regime's impunity for genocide in Gaza is stopped through various means, including by encouraging countries to implement the rulings of the International Criminal Court, as well as cooperating to stop sending weapons and economic aid to the Zionist regime.
He added: What helped the Zionist regime commit crimes was the sending of deadly weapons to this regime by the United States and a number of other Western countries.
Baqaei emphasized: We, as the Islamic Republic of Iran, supported every initiative in this regard and believe that the way to end the genocide and occupation in occupied Palestine is to hold the leaders of the Zionist regime accountable.
Regarding the visit of Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of the Zionist regime, to the United States, the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said: The Zionist regime has a long history of violating international laws; Netanyahu's visit to the United States is taking place while he is a person for whom an arrest warrant has been issued by the International Criminal Court.
He added: The United States has supported the genocidal crimes of the Zionist regime in Gaza; it is necessary for the international community to stand against the violation and discrediting of international laws.
The spokesman for the diplomatic establishment said regarding the nuclear talks: "When the conditions are favorable and we are sure that we can secure and guarantee the interests of the Iranian people through dialogue, we will take the necessary action."
He emphasized: "The positions of our officials are consistent and clear, and we will choose our path for the future based on these positions."
In another part regarding the developments in Syria, Ismail Baghai said: "Our principled position is that we support the government approved by the Syrian people."
He noted: "We are closely monitoring the developments and hope that the transition period will lead to the formation of an inclusive government in Syria."
Regarding the latest situation of the Syrian embassy in Tehran, Baghai said: "Political and security grounds and prerequisites are necessary for the reopening of embassies, and we will make a decision when they are provided."
He also stated: "Establishing relations with Syria is subject to a set of considerations that we will decide on by closely monitoring the developments."
The spokesman for the diplomatic service said about the US cutting off aid to hostile groups: The Americans said that America is not a charity fund and this is meaningful.
He added: These financial resources were actually wages for services and this is a clear sign and proof of the interventionist policy of the US, specifically the Biden administration, in Iran's internal affairs.
Regarding the Israeli regime's attacks on the West Bank, Baqai said: Despite the ceasefire in Gaza, the Israeli regime continues to commit murder and crimes in the West Bank and, as human rights reporters warned, the genocide in Gaza is being repeated in the West Bank.
He emphasized: The international community, Islamic countries and the region must be more active to prevent the repetition of the crimes in Gaza. Genocide should not be normalized and the process started at the International Criminal Court should not be slowed down.
