Head of Judiciary: Respect for the law is one of the primary characteristics of revolutionism

Mohseni Ejei, in his speech at the joint meeting of the heads and deputies of the three branches of government stated: 46 years ago, the people of Islamic Iran pledged allegiance to Imam Khomeini (RA) and were able to achieve victory by putting aside the differences that always exist and cut off the hands of foreigners from the country forever. Today, we also believe that many issues can be resolved through conflicting ideas.
The Head of the Judiciary stated: We have had great success in realizing the various principles of the Constitution and some of the higher-level documents, but it is necessary to make additional efforts to realize as many of the principles of the Constitution that are related to the government and the nation. We must admit that we have not been very successful in implementing development programs. The main reason for this is that we have not been able to reach a consensus on the country's issues.
The Chief Justice stated: We, the agents of the system, have a very heavy and serious duty towards Islam and the people; if we, the agents of the system, do something that makes people despair of the effectiveness of the Islamic system, then we are disappointed and have lost; we have a heavy responsibility on our shoulders and we must prove the effectiveness of the Islamic system to everyone. We are responsible to the people. We are responsible to all the martyrs of the resistance front.
Mohseni Ejei stated: We must overcome the problems with a jihadi movement: of course, our movement must be in accordance with the law; one of the main criteria of revolutionism is respect for the law. No one can say that where the law is in accordance with my interests, I am committed to it, and where the law is not in accordance with my interests and tastes, I violate it! Respect for the law is obligatory in all matters.
The head of the judiciary stated: Today, one of the main issues of the country is economic issues; if we cannot overcome economic issues, then we may also face problems and dilemmas in the cultural and security fields. More than 40 years of experience in our system proves that economic issues cannot be solved by government intervention and that using the capacities of the people and the private sector is a must for the progress of the country's economy.
