Ceasefire talks minus Kiev!

Zelensky is not only dissatisfied with Trump's approach to the Ukrainian war, but also extremely terrified! Russian President Vladimir Putin implicitly proposed an early meeting with his American counterpart, Donald Trump.
Now, Ukrainian officials are unhappy with Kiev being ignored in potential negotiations. Kiev is worried that Putin and Trump's talks will agree on issues and matters that are considered to be the strategic red lines of Ukraine and even NATO. Other members of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization have also raised this concern under various titles.
The Ukrainian ceasefire negotiations will take place in the near future, but the main party to the war (Ukraine) does not play a special role in this equation! This is a unique phenomenon in the field of international relations, which, of course, stems from Washington's instrumentalist view of its allies, including Zelensky.
Ukrainian officials have decided to express this dissatisfaction in their public positions. In this regard, Andriy Yermak, an adviser to the Ukrainian president, criticized Putin's proposal to hold an early meeting with Trump. Referring to Putin's statements, Yermak wrote on his Telegram channel: "But he has one condition - he wants to negotiate the fate of Europe - without Europe. And he wants to talk about Ukraine - without Ukraine."
However, this criticism seems to be more of a tangible protest against the Trump administration's approach to the Ukrainian war and its implications than to Putin. Instead of a party to the war, Ukraine has become a subject of bargaining in the international system, and this is not easy for the Ukrainian president and his entourage to digest!
A few hours after his inauguration, Trump announced that he wanted to talk to Putin as soon as possible. He recently reiterated his offer in his speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos, saying: "I would really like to meet with Putin soon to end this war."
In the meantime, there is no news of any interest from American officials, led by Trump and Rubio, in negotiating with Kiev (to end the war in which Ukraine is involved!). American sources say that a phone call between Trump and Putin will be held in the "coming days and weeks" and that preparations are being made for a face-to-face meeting between the US and Russian presidents. It seems that Zelensky and the Ukrainian officials are not looking forward to good days.
