The most important prisoner exchange between the Palestinian resistance and Israel

Numerous agreements for the indirect exchange of prisoners between different Palestinian groups and the Zionist regime have been made since the start of the anti-occupation resistance in Palestine in the 1960s.
The most prominent prisoner exchange deals between the Palestinian resistance and the Zionist regime are as follows:
July 23, 196; The first notable prisoner exchange agreement between the Zionist regime and the Palestinian resistance, when more than 100 passengers from an Israeli El Al airliner were released in exchange for the release of 37 Palestinian prisoners serving lengthy sentences. The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine group had taken the passengers from this aircraft. The aircraft had to land in Algeria while en route to Tel Aviv from Italy.
January 28, 197; On this date, Mahmoud Bakr Hijazi, a Palestinian prisoner, was released in exchange for Shmuel Fayez, a Zionist soldier who had been captured by the Fatah movement in 1969.
