After passing through several provinces, he entered Semnan province and was arrested in the military Delta region, which is a military restricted area, while taking pictures of the restricted area.
According to Jahangir, this individual was taken into custody on suspicion of photographing illegal sources and working with an adversarial government. He was then sent to a prison. The Swiss Embassy in Tehran was notified of the arrest at the same time.

The judiciary spokesman continued: "The prison staff immediately arrived at the scene after being informed of the incident, but the measures taken were not effective and the prisoner died."
Jahangir said: "With the permission of the Prisons Organization, a delegation from the Swiss Embassy, along with a trusted doctor, was present at the scene and examined the body and confirmed suicide. The body was transferred to the Tehran Forensic Medicine and was handed over to them in the presence of representatives of the Swiss Embassy."
The spokesman for the judiciary, explaining the latest news on the terrorist incident at the Palace of Justice that led to the martyrdom of Mr. Razini and Mr. Moghiseh, stated: "A broad investigation has been immediately launched by security agencies under the supervision of the Tehran Prosecutor’s Office regarding this cowardly assassination. These investigations have so far yielded good results and a number of individuals related to this incident have been identified."
He added: "Among those identified, at least three of those who were arrested have been found to be affiliated with gangs and investigations have been initiated against them. Investigations regarding the connection of these individuals with the killer and the extent of their feeding and support for this terrorist are still ongoing, and the details will be made known to the honorable people of Iran after further investigations."
Jahangir added: "Regarding the weapon that was recovered from this individual, given that it was a non-organizational weapon, investigations are being completed. In this regard, a person was arrested in one of the provinces of the country yesterday and this suspect is being sent to Tehran. If additional information is obtained about this defendant, it will be made public through the media."
At the beginning of the meeting, the Judiciary Spokesperson referred to the victory of the heroic Palestinian nation and said: After 470 days of courageous and oppressive resistance, the Palestinian mujahid nation was able to bring the occupying regime of Jerusalem to its knees and prevent it from achieving its evil goals.
He said, "Despite all the crimes, Netanyahu finally knelt before the resistant Palestinian people and humiliatingly agreed to a ceasefire because he sought to destroy this movement, but he was forced to accept a ceasefire."
He also pointed out that crimes, bombings of people, genocide, and infanticide are never considered achievements in any logic or anywhere in the world.
