Epstein ties: Ehud Barak’s relationship with convicted sex offender exposed
Democrats on the U.S. House Oversight Committee recently published a series of new photographs from the properties of Jeffrey Epstein, the convicted sex offender, including an image of Ehud Barak, the former Prime Minister of Israel.
These photos are part of more than 90 images released and show Barak speaking on the phone, likely in a large conference room. Epstein is not present in this particular photo, and it does not depict any illegal activity, but it confirms Barak’s previously known association with Epstein.
Barak has previously denied any wrongdoing, claiming he was unaware of Epstein’s behavior and now regrets any connection with him.
The release of these photos is part of Democrats’ efforts to pressure the U.S. government for greater transparency in the Epstein case, alongside images featuring other figures such as Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, Bill Gates, and Woody Allen.
Meanwhile, it has recently emerged that a drone manufacturing company in Israel, malaria testing technology, and the proposed sale of an oil and gas company owned by an American billionaire were among many previously unknown business investments that Ehud Barak discussed with the convicted sex offender.
Leaked emails indicate that Epstein served as a financial advisor and even as a friend to the former Prime Minister of Israel over a long-term relationship that blurred professional and personal boundaries.
Barak, who served as Israel’s Prime Minister from 1999 to 2001 and as War Minister from 2007 to March 2013, also used Epstein’s assistance for draft articles in newspapers and used an apartment in New York City arranged by Epstein to write his autobiography. The two exchanged greetings on special days and occasions, and Epstein extended condolences to Barak upon the death of his mother in 2013.
Like many public figures in Epstein’s circle, Barak, who said he first met Epstein in 2003, maintained ties with him for years even after Epstein was convicted of sexual crimes in 2008.
These emails, covering the period from 2013 to 2016, were released by the whistleblower site Distributed Denial of Secrets.
Just a few months after Barak’s tenure as War Minister ended in 2013, Epstein emailed him promising hundreds of millions of dollars in potential earnings.
