The big lies of anti-revolution media about a security convict
In recent days, some hostile media outlets that have no hesitation in showing their enmity toward the Iranian nation have latched onto a new subject to promote false claims.
These outlets have focused heavily on one individual and, by portraying him as a victim, are trying to suggest that he was arrested by security forces merely for filming his home, which they claim was destroyed during the imposed war, and that he is now serving a prison sentence for that reason.
However, behind this media frenzy led by Iran International lie several major falsehoods.
Follow-ups by Mizan News Agency’s reporter show that during the 12-day war, a military zone in the Hakimiyeh area was struck by drones of the invading Zionist regime. The individual referenced by hostile media filmed this area and sent the footage to networks such as BBC Persian, Iran International, Manoto, and Voice of America.
In this regard, the hostile media — which in reality used the footage provided by their own collaborator and broadcast it — falsely claimed that the convict was tried and sentenced for filming his destroyed home. This is an obvious lie. The individual’s home was not damaged or destroyed at all during Israel’s imposed war.
Recording and sending images to hostile networks was not limited to the targeting of that military fortification in Hakimiyeh, and this individual also carried out other anti-security actions.
According to the case file and the convict’s explicit confessions before judicial authorities, one of his main tasks during the attacks of the usurping Zionist regime was to go to the rooftop of his home and film the performance and location of air defense systems, then provide this footage to hostile media outlets including BBC, Iran International, Manoto, and Voice of America.
The defendant confessed in his statements that, based on the mission he had, he filmed the locations of bomb explosions and missile and drone strikes by the Zionist regime, and sent the recorded images to these networks.
Continuing their efforts to portray this individual as a victim, these media outlets also claimed that he was beaten by security forces during his arrest. Investigations show that this claim, like their other allegations, is false.
The reality is that while the defendant was filming the performance of air defense systems, he was confronted by one of his neighbors, and the dispute escalated into a physical altercation. The individual assaulted the neighbor’s husband and, as a result of a private complaint, was also sentenced to pay blood money (compensation).
In another attempt to cleanse the image of this “traitor,” these media outlets claimed that he had been sentenced to five years in prison. Mizan’s investigations show that he was initially sentenced to five years in prison by the trial court, but after the defendant’s appeal, the sentence was reduced to four years.
At present, the convict is serving his sentence on the charge of propaganda activity in support of and to strengthen the Zionist regime, as well as based on a private complainant’s case. In addition, under the court’s ruling, he has been given a supplementary punishment of a two-year ban on membership in groups, parties, and political organizations, as well as a ban on leaving the country.
