Mayor of “Bat Yam” near Tel Aviv: The city has been taken over by Iranian intelligence agents
The newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth wrote in a report on this matter that Zvika Brot, the mayor of Bat Yam, which is located south of Tel Aviv, revealed that a significant number of settlers have connections with Iranian intelligence agents.
He stated in this regard that “we are making every possible effort in a race against time so that they do not provide more information to their employers in Iran.”
In the message, which was published on the mayor’s personal Facebook page, he stated that he knows well that a significant number of settlers are in contact with Iranian security agents.
Describing this phenomenon in this settlement, he said: “Iranians are now present in Bat Yam. This is an unbelievable reality. We are in constant coordination with officials of the security institutions and Israel’s General Security Service (Shin Bet), and we have informed them that it is likely that a (significant) number of the city’s residents have joined the Iranian intelligence network and are cooperating with them. We can deduce this issue from the messages that these agents send to the settlers’ mobile phones.”
He reported that this matter is not limited only to the city of Bat Yam, and that similar reports have been received from various other areas (of occupied Palestine), and that they have reached the conclusion that some settlers take such actions in exchange for material gain.
The mayor of Bat Yam emphasized that “we have now reached the definite conclusion that among the residents of Bat Yam, there are also those who are in contact with Iran’s intelligence services. This is an extremely dangerous crime, and anyone who is arrested in this regard will cause irreparable harm to himself.”
Brot also claimed that the aim of sending this message was to prevent settlers from committing such acts.
While mistakenly describing this cooperation in a threatening manner, he addressed the residents of this settlement and said: “If you, your relatives, or your friends have responded to these calls and messages, or have talked with the Iranians and carried out different missions for them, do not wait for us to knock on your door. It may still not be too late. Come and turn yourself in. Perhaps we can fix everything with the help of the security forces.”
According to experts, the Zionists have become severely frightened by Iran’s extensive intelligence penetration, and given that their efforts to identify individuals cooperating with intelligence networks have reached a dead end, they are trying in this way to encourage people to surrender themselves.
By the admission of the mayor of Bat Yam, today Israeli intelligence and municipal officials are in a difficult race against time in order to prevent further intelligence and security damage to Israel.
Yedioth Ahronoth further reported that, due to this very confusion, Shin Bet has recently held meetings with the mayors of various cities (in occupied Palestine), and although the mayor of Bat Yam has sent such a message, the other Israeli cities are not excluded from this matter either.
The newspaper Israel Hayom also reported in this regard that the mayor of Bat Yam simultaneously, with the release of his video message, instructed municipal employees to allocate a WhatsApp line for receiving questions from the residents of the city.
In recent months, the Zionist regime has intensified the arrest of Zionist settlers on charges of espionage and contact with foreign agents.
In December 2024, Reuters, quoting security officials of the Zionist regime, reported that about 30 Zionist settlers—mostly Jews—had been arrested on alleged charges of links with Iran.
The increase in criticism of the Zionist regime has led even Zionists to become willing to cooperate with foreign services and provide information from the most sensitive institutions of the Zionist regime to foreign services.
