Smart transformation in the country’s wood and paper industry
Dr. Ghasem Mohammadi told Mizan: "The approach of Mazandaran Wood and Paper Industry Company is based on a hybrid model combining resource management, technological innovation, and collaboration with knowledge-based companies. We believe that under the current conditions of the country’s industries, relying on a single factor is not sufficient. We have placed a priority on combining optimal management of human and natural resources with the use of new technologies and the scientific capabilities of knowledge-based companies, in order to optimize the production and supply processes in the country’s wood and paper industry."
Dr. Mohammadi added: "Modern technologies play a key role in this equation. By employing advanced technologies in production monitoring, we have reduced waste and increased efficiency. Additionally, in collaboration with several knowledge-based companies, we have implemented smart systems for energy management and quality control, the results of which will become more tangible in the coming months. Our goal is to achieve sustainable production that meets international standards. Domestically, our focus is on responding more quickly to consumer needs and reducing total costs. Internationally, by improving product quality and adhering to environmental standards, we have reactivated the path for exports. Mazandaran Wood and Paper Industry Company is now redefining its position as a central driver of the country’s paper industry development."
He concluded: "Our horizon is clear. By continuing a hybrid management approach—combining knowledge, technology, and resource efficiency—we can not only achieve self-sufficiency in paper production but also serve as a model for other cellulose-based industries in the country. This marks the beginning of a new era for Iran’s wood and paper industry."
