Israeli rapper faces war crimes complaint in Prague
The Hind Rajab Institute has submitted a complaint to the Office of the Prosecutor General of the Czech Republic against Noam Tsuriéli, an Israeli rapper and soldier in the occupying army, accusing him of committing war crimes during the genocide in Gaza.
The institute—which pursues legal action against members of the occupying army outside the occupied territories—explained that the rapper, who held a concert in Prague yesterday, now faces accusations of war crimes, crimes against humanity, and acts of genocide. These charges are based on a legal dossier prepared by Dr. Jan Taubel of the Taubel Law Office in Prague.
The complaint is founded on a report by a human rights organization showing that Tsurieli directly participated in the destruction of civilian infrastructure in the Gaza Strip and openly endorsed these actions through his artistic work and media statements.
According to the investigation, Tsurieli served on October 27 and 28, 2023, with the 699 Paratrooper Battalion, part of the 551st “Fire Arrows” Brigade, and entered Gaza alongside occupying forces during the ground invasion.
His social media posts also indicate that he repeatedly entered Gaza and took part in ongoing military operations.
Existing evidence shows that in one of his concerts in December 2024, the Israeli rapper displayed footage of occupying forces storming and destroying Palestinian homes and explicitly called for the genocide of Palestinians in Gaza during his remarks.
