Mysterious death of an Israeli soldier

On Thursday evening, the Israeli army announced that a soldier named Ermias Bahta died under unknown circumstances at a military base in southern occupied Palestine.

The incident occurred at Military Base No. 6, which is part of the training and logistics division of the Israeli army.

According to the army’s official statement, Bahta — a resident of the Ma’ale Adumim settlement in the West Bank and a newly recruited member of the support and logistics unit — suddenly lost consciousness and died.

The Israeli army added: “The circumstances of the death are under investigation, and medical assessments are underway.”
