Victims’ bodies in El Fasher burned to hide evidence
According to Al-Ahd News, the Sudan Doctors’ Network stated today that the RSF collected hundreds of bodies in El Fasher, located in western Sudan, burying some and burning others in a bid to conceal evidence of their crimes against humanity.
The network added that the events in El Fasher represent some of the most brutal and inhumane acts, and that these incidents are not isolated but part of a new chapter in the genocidal crimes perpetrated by the RSF.
The report noted that the RSF has violated all international and religious norms regarding the handling of corpses, depriving the dead of proper burial rights.
The Sudan Doctors’ Network held the RSF fully responsible for these atrocities and called for immediate international action to carry out independent investigations into the events in El Fasher.
The report warned: “The situation in El Fasher has gone beyond a humanitarian disaster and reached the level of targeted genocide, endangering human life and dignity amid a shameful international silence.”
In this context, yesterday, Sudan’s Minister of Human Resources and Social Welfare, Moatasem Ahmed Saleh, stated that the RSF is severely harassing civilians trapped in El Fasher.
He described the situation as a humanitarian catastrophe, noting that civilians remain under siege and are prevented from leaving the city by RSF paramilitaries, exposing them to various forms of abuse.
He further reported that the number of victims after the RSF assault on El Fasher has reached tens of thousands.
