Reaction of the Iranian embassy in Mexico to media fabrications

In response to the false accusations made against Iran, the Iranian Embassy in Mexico published a message on the social media platform X.

The embassy wrote: “The allegation that Iran attempted to assassinate the ambassador of the Israeli regime in Mexico is a fabricated media story and a blatant lie aimed at undermining the friendly and historical relations between the two great nations of Mexico and Iran — an allegation we strongly deny.”

Meanwhile, the Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Security and Citizen Protection also issued a joint statement in reaction to the claims regarding an alleged Iranian plot to assassinate the Israeli regime’s ambassador in the country. The statement emphasized that there is no report of any such alleged attack on the Israeli ambassador.

The statement added: “We have not received any information confirming the alleged plot to attack the Israeli ambassador.”
