Hezbollah: Lebanon will not submit to Zionist blackmail
In the letter released on Thursday, November 6, Hezbollah stated that recent developments reaffirm Lebanon’s and Hezbollah’s firm and continuous commitment to the ceasefire declaration from the moment it was issued until today.
The message declared that “the Zionist enemy has continued to violate the ceasefire on land, at sea, and in the air up to the present day.”
Referring to the government’s hasty decision regarding the monopoly of arms, the letter noted that some have tried to portray this move as a gesture of goodwill from Lebanon toward the enemy and its supporters.
Hezbollah warned that the enemy exploited this governmental mistake to impose the issue of disarming the Resistance across all of Lebanon as a precondition for halting hostilities, adding:
“Let all Lebanese know that the Israeli enemy does not target Hezbollah alone—it targets all of Lebanon.”
The letter further stressed that Israel’s aggression requires a unified national stance—one that safeguards the dignity, sovereignty, and honor of Lebanon and its people.
It declared: “A savage enemy, backed by the American tyrant, cannot be confronted through maneuvering or compromise.”
Hezbollah affirmed that Lebanon remains committed to halting aggression in accordance with the ceasefire declaration and to exerting pressure on the Zionist enemy to abide by its terms.
Reiterating its position, the letter stated: “Lebanon has absolutely no interest in submitting to aggressive blackmail or in being drawn into political negotiations with the Zionist enemy.”
Hezbollah added that political negotiations with the enemy offer no national benefit and instead carry existential risks that threaten Lebanon’s sovereignty and very existence.
The group reaffirmed: “We uphold our legitimate right to resist occupation and aggression.”
Hezbollah concluded by emphasizing that legitimate defense is not a matter of choosing between war and peace; rather, “We are exercising our inherent right to defend ourselves against an enemy that has imposed war upon our nation.”
It added that the issue of monopolizing arms would not be addressed in response to foreign pressure or Israeli blackmail, but only within a national framework and in accordance with Lebanon’s own interests.
