West Bank under siege: Over 2,000 attacks in just one month
A recently published report reveals that Israeli soldiers and settlers conducted a total of 2,350 assaults throughout the month, continuing an unrelenting campaign of violence against Palestinians, their lands, and their property.
According to the report’s authors, 1,584 of these incidents were carried out by occupation forces, while settlers were responsible for 766 attacks.
The report identified the most heavily targeted areas as the governorates of Ramallah and al-Bireh (542 attacks), Nablus (412), and Hebron (401), indicating a concentrated effort to disrupt Palestinian life in key regions of the occupied territories.
The violence coincided with the annual olive harvest season — a time when settler attacks have historically escalated. Documented incidents include direct physical assaults, uprooting and burning of olive trees, blocking access to agricultural lands, and the seizure of property.

Reuters, citing Palestinian and UN officials, reported that settler attacks have continued throughout the harvest season, with Palestinian farmers and their families facing escalating threats and intimidation.
According to the findings, the attacks involved not only beatings but also widespread destruction: homes and agricultural facilities were demolished, and vast areas of Palestinian land were sealed off under the pretext of “security measures.”
These so-called “security measures” have routinely paved the way for settler assaults, often carried out with the full support and protection of Israeli occupation forces. The report also confirmed that since the beginning of October 2024, more than 15,000 trees have been damaged or destroyed — inflicting further harm on Palestinian livelihoods and the local environment.
The Palestinian Ministry of Agriculture recorded a 17% increase in the financial losses of West Bank farmers between January and mid-October 2025 compared to the same period last year.
Observers say these incidents are part of a broader and intensifying campaign of aggression across the West Bank, where Israeli occupation forces and settlers systematically target civilians, farmland, and Palestinian homes.
Analysts describe this pattern of violence as a deliberate policy aimed at forcibly displacing Palestinians, seizing more land, and expanding Israeli settlements — in clear violation of international law.
