Over 9,000 Palestinians held in Israeli prisons
Three Palestinian organizations monitoring prisoners reported that Israel is holding 9,250 Palestinians in its prisons.
Mizan -
The Palestinian Prisoners and Freed Affairs Organization, the Palestinian Prisoners Club, and the Al-Damir Institute for Prisoners’ Rights and Human Rights issued a joint statement based on data from the Israeli Prison Service up to November 2025, stating that the number of prisoners in Israeli jails has exceeded 9,250.
The organizations noted that most of the prisoners are held under administrative detention, and this figure does not include those detained in military-run camps affiliated with the Israeli army.
The joint statement added that the number of convicted prisoners has reached 1,242.
Among the detainees, 49 are women — including one from Gaza — and 350 are children, held in the Ofer and Megiddo prisons.
