Israeli regime hands over bodies of 45 Palestinian prisoners
According to Al Jazeera, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) transferred the bodies of these 45 martyrs to Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, located in the Gaza Strip.
Earlier this morning, a team composed of members from the Red Cross and Al-Qassam Brigades went to the al-Shuja’iya area in eastern Gaza to recover the remains of Israeli captives.
Meanwhile, Mahmoud Basal, spokesperson for Gaza’s Civil Defense Organization, stated that the agency requires additional equipment and heavy machinery to remove the bodies of martyrs trapped beneath the rubble. He added that, besides the local rescue teams operating in Gaza, outside experts are also needed.
At the same time, Hazem Qassem, spokesman for the Hamas movement, told Al Jazeera: “The ongoing bombardment of homes and residential areas in Gaza is a blatant violation of the ceasefire.”
He called on the mediators to pressure the Israeli regime to end the daily massacres, lift the ongoing blockade of Gaza, allow the flow of humanitarian aid, and reopen the Rafah border crossing.
Last night, the office of the Israeli regime’s prime minister announced that it had received the bodies of three Israeli captives who were killed in the Gaza Strip through the International Committee of the Red Cross.
The office of Benjamin Netanyahu said in a statement that the bodies were first handed over to units of the Israeli army and the Shin Bet (internal intelligence service) inside Gaza and would be transferred to Israel (the occupied Palestinian territories) following an official military ceremony attended by the Chief Military Rabbi.
