Baghaei: Grossi must stop making baseless remarks about Iran’s nuclear program
Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson on Thursday urged the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to refrain from making unfounded statements about Iran’s nuclear issue, stressing that his remarks have paved the way for U.S. and Israeli aggression against the country.
Mizan -
Esmail Baghaei, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, said on Thursday that Rafael Grossi, Director General of the IAEA, is well aware that Iran’s nuclear program is entirely peaceful.
Speaking to Al Jazeera, Baghaei stated: “The disastrous consequences of Grossi’s remarks created the conditions for U.S.-Israeli aggression against Iran. Grossi must refrain from making baseless statements regarding our nuclear file.”
On Wednesday, the IAEA Director General claimed that while Iran is not actively enriching uranium, the Agency has recently detected new activities at Iranian nuclear sites.
