Gaza’s interior ministry declares general amnesty
In a statement released on Sunday, the ministry declared: “We announce the possibility of repentance and general amnesty for members of criminal gangs and groups who have not taken part in killings or the shedding of others’ blood.”
The statement explained that this measure aims to help such individuals resolve their legal and security status and close their cases permanently.
The ministry set a deadline for eligible individuals — from Monday, October 13, 2025, until Sunday, October 19, 2025 — to come forward and surrender.
It further warned: “Anyone who refuses to surrender or insists on continuing acts of violation and lawlessness will face firm legal action from the competent authorities.”
The Interior Ministry concluded by affirming that under no circumstances will threats to public security or citizens’ rights be tolerated, adding that after this warning, no excuses will be accepted.
