Meeting between Trump’s representatives and Netanyahu
Jared Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law, and Steve Witkoff, the U.S. special envoy to Tel Aviv, met with the Israeli president and later held talks with the regime’s prime minister as well.
Trump: No one will be forced out of Gaza
The U.S. president, continuing his remarks about the ceasefire agreement, said that under the deal being pursued, no one will be forced to leave or be expelled from Gaza.
He added that the international forces to be deployed in Gaza will soon be determined.
Threat to dissolve Netanyahu’s cabinet
Itamar Ben-Gvir, Israel’s minister of national security, said that his faction would vote against the prisoner exchange and ceasefire deal.
He stated: “We are happy about the release of all the hostages, but we will vote against the agreement.”
Ben-Gvir added: “Netanyahu promised me that Hamas would be dismantled. If this does not happen, we will dissolve the cabinet.”
Al-Hayya: The heroes of the resistance foiled the enemy’s plans
Khalil al-Hayya, head of Hamas in the Gaza Strip and chief negotiator of the movement, said that the world has been astonished by the sacrifice, steadfastness, and patience of the people of Gaza.
He continued: “The people of Gaza have endured an unprecedented war in modern history and stood firm against the oppression and crimes of the enemy’s army.”
Referring to the suffering of Gaza’s residents, he said: “The people of Gaza stood like mountains — their resolve did not waver despite massacres, displacement, hunger, and the loss of their loved ones and homes.”
Al-Hayya went on to honor the martyrs, leaders, and commanders who launched the “Al-Aqsa Flood Operation” — Ismail Haniyeh, Saleh al-Arouri, Yahya Sinwar, and Mohammad al-Deif.
He praised the bravery of the resistance fighters who fought from zero range and stood firm against the occupiers’ tanks, stressing that the resistance heroes defeated all enemy schemes of displacement, starvation, and chaos.
Addressing the resistance fighters, al-Hayya said: “Just as you fought like men on the battlefield, we too acted like men at the negotiation table.”
Al-Hayya stated that Hamas dealt responsibly with the U.S. president’s proposal and presented a response that protects the interests and blood of the Palestinian people.
He declared: “We have reached an agreement to end the war and aggression against our people and to begin implementing a permanent ceasefire.”
He added that the deal includes the entry of humanitarian aid, reopening of the Rafah crossing, and a prisoner exchange.
Providing details, he said: “Two hundred and fifty prisoners sentenced to life and 1,700 prisoners from Gaza will be released.”
He affirmed that Hamas has received the necessary guarantees from mediators and the U.S. government, all of whom have emphasized a complete end to the war.
Al-Hayya also stressed that Hamas will continue working with all national and Islamic forces to complete the remaining steps.
He expressed deep gratitude to the mediators in Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey, and extended appreciation to Yemen, Lebanon, Iraq, and Iran for sharing in the blood and struggle.
Trump: I will visit Egypt next week
A few hours after Egypt’s official invitation to attend the ceremony celebrating the ceasefire agreement in Cairo, President Trump announced that he will travel to Egypt.
Declaring the war in Gaza officially over, Trump stated that Israeli hostages will be handed over on Monday or Tuesday.
He added that several countries will provide major financial support for Gaza’s reconstruction and that he will attend the signing ceremony of the ceasefire agreement in Egypt next week.

Negotiations on Palestinian prisoner list continue
A senior Hamas leader told Al Jazeera that talks regarding the list of Palestinian prisoners are still ongoing, with mediators working to finalize the issue in the coming hours.
The source added that Hamas is holding national consultations with other Palestinian factions to adopt a unified stance regarding the Israeli response to the prisoners requested by the resistance.
He also noted that Hamas submitted its final response to the mediators this morning regarding the timelines for implementing the agreement. This final response includes a specific date for the commencement of the ceasefire implementation.
The source categorically denied any direct meetings with the Israeli delegation during the Sharm El-Sheikh negotiations.
He emphasized that all meetings and discussions in Sharm El-Sheikh have taken place solely through intermediaries, without any direct presence or communication with the Israeli delegation.
Hamas official: Netanyahu seeks to obstruct prisoner agreement
Abdulrahman Shadid, a Hamas leader, stated on Thursday that while Hamas and other resistance groups have engaged with Trump’s plan in a highly positive and nationally responsible manner—leading to the agreement announced yesterday—Netanyahu has been attempting in recent hours to create major obstacles in the prisoner issue.
He said that the Israeli Prime Minister’s primary goal with these obstructive actions is to create a destructive crisis that could derail the ceasefire agreement.
In this context, Netanyahu’s office announced minutes ago that Marwan Barghouti, a leader of the Palestinian resistance in the West Bank who has been sentenced to multiple life terms, will not be included in the Palestinian prisoner list.
Hamdan: The reached agreement marks the final end of the war
Osama Hamdan, a senior member of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), explained the details of the agreement to end the Gaza war in an interview with Al Araby TV.
He stressed that the agreement approved by both parties represents the final end of the war against Gaza.
Hamdan added that the international community must closely monitor Israel’s conduct in implementing the terms of this agreement.
He stated that the prisoner exchange will only take place once a formal declaration ending the war has been made, emphasizing that the central point of the agreement is the complete cessation of the war against the Gaza Strip.
According to him, the mediators have guaranteed that the occupying regime will not violate the agreement, and it was decided that the official announcement of the ceasefire would be made by the American side.
The Hamas official went on to say that, under the agreement, 250 prisoners serving life sentences and 1,700 detainees from Gaza will be released, adding that the names of all imprisoned leaders have been included in the list of those to be freed.
He noted that implementation of the ceasefire will begin after final approval by the Israeli cabinet, and that under the agreed stages, the occupying army must withdraw from Gaza City, the north, Rafah, and Khan Younis.
Hamdan explained that the first phase of the agreement fulfills the main demand of the Palestinian people — an end to the war on Gaza, and within this framework, five crossings will be opened for the entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip.
He added: “We have asked the mediators to ensure the suspension of Israeli drone flights over Gaza to facilitate the prisoner-exchange process.”
According to Hamdan, international organizations will oversee the distribution of aid, not local institutions under Israeli control.
He reiterated that Hamas and other resistance groups have insisted on guarantees ensuring Israel’s compliance with the agreement.
Hamdan also said that the administration of the Gaza Strip must be handled by Palestinian national figures without any Zionist interference.
He stated that Palestinian groups have submitted a list of 40 names proposed to manage Gaza after the war.
The Hamas official emphasized: “We will never allow the occupiers to interfere in our internal affairs.”
Addressing regional countries and the international community, Hamdan added: “Anyone who wishes to help our people must do so without any form of guardianship or imposed authority.”

“What has been achieved today,” the statement read, “is the result of the tremendous sacrifices of the Palestinian people and the courage of the fighters who stood against the occupying army and demonstrated unprecedented valor. It was this resistance that enabled the Palestinian side to appear as an equal power at the negotiating table.”

U.S. President Donald Trump said:
“Israel and Hamas have signed the first phase of the peace plan.
This means all prisoners will soon be released. Israel will withdraw its forces to the agreed line as the first step toward a strong and lasting peace.
All sides will be treated fairly. This is a great day for the Arab and Islamic world, for Israel, and for the United States.
We thank the mediators — Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey. Today is a great day for the world.
I may travel to Israel in the coming days and could address the Knesset.
My call with Netanyahu was excellent; he is very pleased — and rightly so.
The entire world has united around this agreement, even former adversaries, and that is a great achievement.
The support we received has been immense. What we have achieved goes beyond Gaza — it is peace in the Middle East, and it is truly remarkable.”
