UNICEF: A child is killed or injured every 17 minutes in Gaza
Ricardo Pires, spokesperson for UNICEF, announced that every 17 minutes, a child in Gaza is killed or wounded amid what he described as a “nightmare no child should ever endure,” caused by the ongoing genocide committed by the Israeli regime over the past two years.

Pires emphasized that Israel is using an unprecedented level of violence and called on the regime to end its attacks on Gaza and agree to a ceasefire.
He noted that children in Gaza have borne the highest cost of the relentless assaults, saying:
“Every 17 minutes, a child in Gaza is killed or injured — a shocking and unacceptable figure.”
According to him, many children in Gaza have been orphaned or displaced multiple times, forced to live through fear and trauma no child should experience.
Pires also warned of the growing humanitarian threat caused by Israel’s repeated obstruction of aid deliveries into Gaza.
