Continuation of the political crisis in France: Another prime minister resigns
Sébastien Lecornu, who was appointed Prime Minister less than a month ago, resigned today (Monday).

According to BFM TV, citing the Élysée Palace, French President Emmanuel Macron accepted the resignation of the Prime Minister.
Thus, Lecornu, who had been appointed Prime Minister on September 8 of this year, ended his term with this resignation, prolonging the political crisis in France’s Fifth Republic.
Lecornu resigned just a few hours after announcing the initial list of his cabinet members, setting the record for the shortest tenure of a prime minister in the Fifth Republic of France.
