Israeli Insurance Institute publishes two-year war casualty data
An Israeli economic media outlet reported that, on the eve of October 7th, the second anniversary of the “Al-Aqsa Storm” operation, the institute announced that over the past two years it has paid 44 billion shekels in compensation to reservist soldiers for damages and injuries sustained.
Regarding the distribution of injuries, 36,315 Israelis have applied for disability compensation due to hostile operations. Of these, 30,462 cases were based solely on psychological disability, while 1,929 cases were due to combined physical and psychological injuries.

As for the captives, 183 civilians abducted from Gaza have been returned. However, 33 civilians remain in Hamas custody, of whom 16 are believed to be alive.
To date, the Israeli National Insurance Institute has paid out over 53 million shekels in compensation for medical treatment and various benefits to captives who were released and returned to Israel.
The total compensation payments to insured individuals have reached more than 44 billion shekels, as part of a monthly payment scheme.
In addition, over 5 billion shekels have been paid to more than 190,000 Israelis as housing assistance for displaced persons.
