Obama calls for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state
According to Al Jazeera, Obama condemned the occupation and genocidal actions of Israel in Gaza, stating that there is no military justification for continuing the destruction of what is already in ruins, and he emphasized the need for a Palestinian state.
Speaking at an event in Dublin, the capital of Ireland, Obama highlighted the worsening humanitarian disaster in Gaza, saying: “I must say that children should not be dying of hunger. Ignoring the humanitarian crisis unfolding in Gaza is unacceptable.”
He stressed the necessity of establishing an independent Palestinian state and criticized world leaders, urging them to work toward resolving the crisis in Gaza.
During the event, Obama also strongly criticized Benjamin Netanyahu, referring to his tense relations with the Israeli Prime Minister, and stated: “We have never gotten along.”
