Thousands protest outside UN headquarters during the speech of a wanted war criminal
Simultaneously with Netanyahu’s speech at the UN General Assembly, American citizens staged a massive demonstration in front of the UN building. Participants in the protest, reaffirming their support for Gaza, condemned the ongoing crimes committed by the Zionist occupiers.
Protesters carried placards bearing slogans such as “Free Gaza”, “Let the People of Gaza Live”, and others.
When Netanyahu took the podium at the General Assembly, many diplomatic delegations, officials, and heads of state walked out of the hall in protest against the ongoing genocide in Gaza and the regime’s attacks on Iran and Qatar. Many others booed the Israeli Prime Minister.
Netanyahu’s speech at the 80th Session of the UN General Assembly in New York—delivered as numerous world leaders and officials left the hall in protest and others jeered him—began with his explicit admissions of assassination, crimes, and warmongering.
The U.S. news network CNN reported on Friday, shortly before Netanyahu’s address, that he claimed in his speech Hamas was preventing the establishment of a ceasefire in Gaza.
