Larijani: With the implementation of Snapback, cooperation with the IAEA will be suspended
Ali Larijani, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, told the U.S. news network PBS: “The Agency has previously declared that Iran is not seeking to build nuclear weapons; the policy of the Islamic Republic is not to build such weapons.”
He further stated: “The resolution of the Islamic Consultative Assembly [Parliament] stipulates suspension of cooperation with the Agency in the event of snapback implementation.”
Larijani noted: “Iran has pursued every possible path to resolve the issue peacefully. The bombing of nuclear facilities was unprecedented in the world.”
The Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council added: “In Cairo, inspections of intact facilities were approved, but inspections of damaged facilities require new methods and planning.”
