Iran’s progress in the heavy commercial vehicle market
Production statistics for heavy commercial vehicles up to the end of Tir 1404 (July 2025) indicate that Saipa has experienced an unprecedented leap. While the company produced only 97 units during the same period last year, it has managed to increase production to over 919 units this year—a growth of 847%.
During the same period, the production of the Iran Khodro Group declined by 38.5%, from 3,244 units in 1403 (2024) to 1,994 units. In contrast, the Bahman Group achieved a 119% growth, and other manufacturers recorded a 111% increase.
Comparing the production figures of the first four months of this year with the same period last year shows that the share of heavy commercial vehicle production increased by 13.1% for other manufacturers, 10.1% for Saipa, and 9% for the Bahman Group.
These statistics highlight Iran’s progress in producing heavy commercial vehicles and demonstrate the country’s growing competitiveness in this sector.
